We all know that money is a necessary part of life. Food, transportation, housing, clothing, recreation, and other such things all have associated expenses. Additionally, many people try to save some of their hard-earned money for future needs, such as education, travel, and retirement. But many people have also experienced the rewards of investing in the lives of others by donating to various charities, whether a local food bank, an international humanitarian organization, or a local church.
At Maranatha Church, we strive to make a positive impact in our community by valuing and serving all of its citizens without prejudice. But it costs money to operate our various ministries. For example, our On Eagles Wings (OEW) ministry in downtown Nanaimo extends loving care to many of Nanaimo’s most vulnerable and marginalized citizens every Sunday afternoon and costs approximately $250 per week in hard costs (food and rent) to operate (please click here for more details about OEW).
Perhaps you would consider making a donation to assist with these expenses? Your one time or recurring gift will make a huge difference in the lives of the hundreds of people who are fed, assisted, and loved through On Eagles Wings.
