Small Groups

We offer a number of small group opportunities for people. Some groups are ongoing groups that offer opportunities for friendship, spiritual growth and care. Others have start and finish dates, focusing on specific topics. The following are a few examples:


Community groups:

Weekly meetings of small groups in homes for friendship, spiritual growth and care. Contact Barry Hansen for more information: barry@nullmaranathachurch.ca


Coffee Connection:

Meeting monthly on Wednesday mornings at 10am at Maranatha Church for a time of coffee and friendship. Contact church office to confirm next meeting date: info@nullmaranathachurch.ca


Open Hour Prayer:

Meeting every Thursday afternoon from 12:00-1:00pm at Maranatha Church. Contact Gord Petley-Jones at gordonpj@nullshaw.ca for more information.


Men’s Group:

All men are welcome to join up with other men at the church every Sunday evening, 7:00-8:30pm. Contact Dave Rowett: daverowett7@nullgmail.com for more information.


Young Adults:

All Young Adults between the ages of 18-29, are welcome to come out and meet at the church, Tuesdays, 7pm.

Genesis Process:

The Genesis Process is a program that blends sound biblical principles, an understanding of the neurochemistry of the brain, and years of addiction treatment experience into an effective road map to help facilitate positive change. The twenty-week Genesis Process manual focuses on healing the wounds from relational and family of origin issues that drive self-destructive or unhealthy behavior. Pure Desire:

We live in a culture in which there is much sexual and relational confusion and brokenness. In response to this condition, we offer help to those who are struggling. We have separate support groups for men and women. Additionally, we offer support to women who having experienced the pain of betrayal due to their spouses addictive behaviour.
